From Bhaktapur to Biratnagar — in their own words.
“My father took our family's first policy through beemadokaan. When he passed, the claim was settled in 8 days — every rupee on time. They became family.”
“I started a Child Policy for my daughter at NPR 245 a year. Three years on, I haven't missed a daily installment — and the fund is growing with her.”
“Comparing 12 plans took me 90 seconds. Buying took 4 minutes. eSewa, Khalti, both worked. Nothing in Nepal has been this easy — ever.”
“We covered three generations in one afternoon — my parents, my wife and I, and our two kids. Five policies, one EDI calendar. Genuinely beautiful.”
“I bought a medical add-on for my mother during the festival break. Hospital admission happened in March — the claim cleared in five working days.”
“The Nepali helpline made all the difference. My mother spoke directly with the agent — no English, no jargon. That felt like respect.”
“NPR 33 a day. I bought it from a tea shop using eSewa. My agent met me in town two weeks later for the paperwork. Nepal is changing.”
“The side-by-side comparison sold it to me. I could finally see what each insurer actually pays vs. what they promise. No more guesswork.”

The questions our team hears most often — without the legalese.
Daily Equated Daily Installment (EDI) splits your premium into amounts smaller than your morning chai — paid daily instead of monthly. You can also choose weekly, monthly or yearly cycles. It is the same total premium, just smaller, more frequent payments that match the cash flow of most Nepali households.
beemadokaan operates as a licensed marketplace under the Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA). Every plan listed is issued by an NIA-licensed insurer, and the marketplace itself follows NIA rules on disclosures, claim handling and customer grievance.
You can file a claim directly from your dashboard or call the Nepali-language claims helpline. Upload the death certificate / hospital bills / FIR (as applicable), and our team coordinates with the insurer until disbursal. Average disbursal is 8–15 working days depending on documents.
Yes. Every plan comes with a 15-day free-look period. If you decide the policy isn't right for you within 15 days of issue, you get a full refund minus stamp duty and any medical-test cost.
You tell us insurance type, age, sum assured and (optionally) your budget. We show every plan from every licensed insurer that fits those filters. We never hide insurers or sort by commission. Sort and filter controls are entirely yours.
For most plans: Citizenship Number (or Nagarikta), a phone number that can receive OTP, and either eSewa / Khalti / mobile-banking for the first payment. For higher sum-assured plans, an income proof and a basic tele-medical check.
For term and life plans bought today, the premium is fixed for the term of the policy — it does not increase. For health and motor plans (which are annual), the premium is revisited each renewal based on age band, claim history and insurer rates.
Anyone above 18 with a valid Citizenship can sign up as a Promoter. You get a Promoter ID, share it with friends and family, and earn commission on every policy bought through your code — for as long as that policy stays active. There is no upfront cost.
Yes — both eSewa and Khalti are supported, alongside major Nepali bank cards and direct bank transfer. eSewa is the most common method our customers use for daily EDI auto-debit.
You get a 30-day grace window with no penalty. After 30 days the policy goes into lapse, but can be reinstated within 6 months by paying outstanding installments + a small reinstatement fee. We send three reminders (SMS + email) before any lapse.
